A thorough, unhurried general dentist with a special interest in jaw pain, clenching and grinding — looking after check-ups, fillings, crowns and gum health in a calm, gentle way — in English or French.
Dr Miranda Perry is a general dentist at Midas Dental Erskineville. She graduated as a Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of Sydney, and her focus is simple: take the time to properly examine, explain what she finds in plain language, and agree on a plan that suits you before any treatment starts.
Before dentistry, Dr Perry completed a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology — the study of how muscles and joints move. That background shapes the way she looks at the jaw, and it’s why she has spent dedicated clinical time assessing temporomandibular disorders (TMJ): jaw pain, clicking, clenching and grinding. She digitally scans, fits and adjusts occlusal splints and night guards, and works alongside other health professionals when imaging or further care is needed.
Day to day she provides the full range of general dentistry — examinations, preventive care, fillings, crowns, non-surgical gum treatment and tooth extractions — with further training in composite (tooth-coloured) restorations and oral surgery. She has a particular interest in clear aligners, and works under the guidance and mentorship of Dr Katrina Zhao, our Principal Dentist.
Having also worked chairside as a dental assistant across implant, root canal, cosmetic and orthodontic procedures before graduating, she knows what a visit feels like from every side of the chair — and keeps her appointments calm and gentle.
Dr Perry speaks English and French, so French-speaking patients can talk through their dental care in the language they’re most comfortable with. She consults at Midas Dental on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
